What is the limited packaging of dangerous goods?
Dangerous goods are packaged in limited quantities. When transporting a certain dangerous goods, many small barrels and bottles are used to replace the large package, and then these small packages are placed in a strong outer package, and absorbent materials are added to the outer package to reduce the potential harm or risk.
What are the requirements for the limited packaging of dangerous goods?
1. Not all dangerous goods can be packaged in limited quantities. It needs to see the specific UN CODE
2. The goods shall be released according to dangerous goods, and the declaration of dangerous goods shall be made normally, but the declaration of dangerous goods can be used as a parallel document to replace the dangerous bag certificate or ship class certificate.
3. For limited packaging, there are also some requirements for inner packaging:
(1) The maximum volume of each small package shall not exceed 5L or 1L, 1L for class ⅱ and 5L for class ⅲ.
(2) Fragile goods: the total gross weight should not exceed 20kg, in addition to other products: the total gross weight of the package should not exceed 30kg
Which UN codes can be limited?
The export of dangerous goods is involved in the dangerous goods application form, and the UN number is required to be filled in. The following are the limited packaging involved in part of the UN CODE:
1.UN1170 CLASS 3 Ethanol (alcohol) or ethanol solution (alcohol solution)
2.UN3175 CLASS 4.1 Solids containing flammable liquids
3.UN1950 CLASS2.2 smoke agent
The difference between class ⅰ, ⅱ and ⅲ packing forms
Class ⅰ packing: The goods are very dangerous and the packing strength is required.
Class ⅱ packing: The goods are of medium danger, and the packing strength is required to be higher.
Class ⅲ packing: The goods have little danger and the packing strength is required to be normal.
